Our year in review

Over the past twelve months, the Lodge has enjoyed a steady and encouraging period of activity within the Province of Glasgow. We are pleased to report a slight but consistent increase in our average meeting attendance, reflecting renewed engagement and commitment from the Brethren.

One of the most positive developments of the year has been the admission of FOUR new, young Brethren into the Lodge in Bro Craig Booth, Bro Calum Henderson, Bro Fraser Smith and Bro Adam McLean (the oldest son of RWM Bro Andrew McLean). We warmly welcome them and look forward with confidence to their progression and future contribution to The Gael and Freemasonry in general.
A particular highlight of the year was our Annual Pipers Degree, held in April, which was exceptionally well attended and widely praised. Sixteen pipers took part, travelling from across Scotland, and we were especially honoured to welcome a Brother from New Zealand, whose presence added an international dimension to an already memorable occasion.

The year was also marked by sadness with the loss of our dear friend and Brother, Past Master William (Bill) Bryce. His wit, humour, and wholehearted participation in our Harmonies were greatly cherished, and his presence is deeply missed by all who knew him.

Throughout the year, the Lodge has continued to demonstrate its commitment to charity and service within the wider community. Donations were made to a number of worthy organisations, including Clydebank Salvation Army, the Glasgow North West Foodbank, and Erskine Home for Ex-Service Men and Women. These contributions reflect the Lodge’s enduring dedication to supporting those in need and upholding the charitable principles at the heart of Freemasonry.

Overall, the year has been marked by growth, fellowship, and a strong sense of optimism for the future of the Lodge.
